NOX

Omar Shehata,
aka "G-BReal Nox" or "Nox"

Age: 20, Born July 11th in Manhattan, NY. Nox relocated to Newburgh in Orange County, NY at a very young age and resided there until he was in Junior High School. Although he left the city, the city never left him and he was constantly influenced by the musical sounds of NYC especially those artist originating from The Bronx, NY. At the age of 15, Nox moved to Rockland County, NY where he was only minutes away from the NYC. While in Rockland Nox earned his GED and then relocated to the Bronx, NY where he currently resides.

Nox attended City College where his studies were focused on Human Services. While at City College, Nox co-hosted a locally popular radio show where he was able to share his musical style and vision with a local fan base in NYC. With musical influences including an eclectic mix of soulful jazz, Pun, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z and Eminem, Nox changed the way that radio was viewed at City College and the surrounding area.

Nox is one of the original members of Costa Nostra: "The Official Mob" and co-wrote the lyrics on half the songs on their debut CD. With live performances that include "The Apollo Theatre" in NYC where he appeared as a member of Costa Nostra with Nina Sky. Nox has also performed on multiple occasions at The Remote Lounge and The World Famous China Club.

Nox recently recorded his first two singles "ManDrizzle" and "Girls, Girls Girls". Nox is currently recording a new CD project with Short Fuze of Tha Council and will begin recording his Solo CD in the summer of 2006.

Nox's goal is to become one of the premiere hip hop artists. With his versatility and intelligent rap style, Nox is destined for musical greatness.
